Emergency repairs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Quick repairs including 1-3 items (a pad, a cork, a key action problem, a flute tenon repair, a basic adjustment) that can be completed in 50 minutes or less are $100. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instruments requiring more items and more time will be estimated accordingly. Crack repairs are usually $100-$500.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Clean\/oil\/adjust maintenance<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Complete disassembly and cleaning for a professional model instrument is usually $400-$1200. I will give you an estimate when I inspect your instrument in person.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Payment methods<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I can accept cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, Zelle, credit cards, and bank transfers. I will email you an electronic invoice that you can pay online. Payment is due in full when you pick up your instrument.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

How to become a priority client<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Schedule a complete clean\/oil\/adjust maintenance. That’s all you have to do! If I have done your COA (or overhaul) in the past 12 months, your instrument is a priority client. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Free checkups for 12 months<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I provide free checkups for 12 months for any instrument that I have done complete maintenance on. This covers settling of adjustments and anything that happens due to normal playing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Access to sooner appointments<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

During busy times when I have blocked off my calendar for emergencies for new clients, send me an email and I’ll have you come in tomorrow or the next day. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Emergency repairs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For minor repairs and emergency services, choose any appointment time that suits you. Usually the soonest appointment available will be tomorrow or Monday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usually I complete quick repairs while you wait (50 minutes or less, 1-3 items). Crack repairs usually take 3-5 days.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Clean\/oil\/adjust maintenance<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For complete disassembly of your instrument, cleaning all parts, and replacement of any worn out pads and corks, please schedule your dropoff a few months in advance <\/strong>and let me know that it is for your clean\/oil\/adjust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Complete maintenance usually takes 3-10 days. We will discuss and schedule your pickup when you drop off your instrument.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Overhauls<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Schedule a dropoff a few months in advance, and let me know that your instrument probably needs an overhaul. Professional models will run $1200 – $2500 and will take 1-3 weeks to complete.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Angela Wells<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Owner and operator of The Reedery, woodwind repair specialist, oboist, reedmaker<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I completed a Bachelor of Music degree at CSULB<\/a> in 2006 and the Band Instrument Repair Diploma program at Red Wing<\/a> in 2007. I earned Straubinger certification<\/a> in March of 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more than 15 years of experience repairing woodwind instruments, I am ready to assist you with all of the repairs that your instrument needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to repairing instruments full time, I am also an active performer on oboe and flute in the greater Los Angeles area. I hold the co-principal oboe position at the Orchestra Collective of Orange County<\/a> and also perform regularly in the Long Beach Ballet, the Vietnamese American Philharmonic, various musical productions, community bands and orchestras, and much more.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
